To undertake the envisaged methodological developments, six mining areas, five within Europe (Portugal, United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, and Finland) and one in Greenland have been selected for investigation, to reflect the European climatic, geographic and socio-economic environment diversity.
Test site selection reflects diverse environmental problems due to diversity of mineral extracted, methods of exploitation, etc. |
